The opportunity

How do you turn a lovely offline service into a business that runs itself?

Before
A lovely local idea: picnic baskets from boutique cafés, with porcelain, glasses and blankets.
The opportunity
Make it bookable online, for guests, cafés and the owner at once.
What it needed
One system for three groups. Easy booking, simple café tools, no daily admin.

What we did

The whole marketplace, handed over ready to run.

Decisions

Three decisions that mattered.

Tools are easy to get. Knowing what to build isn't.

  1. 01

Rental online, food at the café.

    Why

Taking the food money would mean extra tax rules and paying out every café.

    What it changed

Guests pay €7 per person online, food at pickup. The money arrives straight away.

  2. 02

    Real availability, held at checkout.

    Why

Baskets, blankets and tableware are limited. Each one can only go out once.

    What it changed

Booking checks the real equipment and holds it for 30 minutes during checkout.

  3. 03

    Made for the café counter.

    Why

Café teams are busy. Their tools have to be clear at a glance.

    What it changed

Three booking states, a daily prep list, and the exact amount to collect for vouchers.

What we built

The whole business, not just the screens.

Sorted by what the business needs to run. What customers see is only one part.

€7 per person, paid online. Gift vouchers settle at the café.

Built lean

A fraction of an agency's resources.

Experienced people made the calls. AI did the heavy lifting.

Usually this work is split across six roles: strategy, design, frontend, backend, testing and project management. Here it stayed under one roof, with one lead.
